Kevin McAlpine
Kevin McAlpine, a distinguished Scottish golfer and caddie, was born into a sports-oriented family as the son of Hamish McAlpine, the legendary Dundee United goalkeeper. He developed his golfing skills at Alyth Golf Club and further honed his talent at Colorado State University. In 2006, Kevin achieved a significant milestone by winning the Scottish Amateur Championship at Nairn, two years after setting the Old Course amateur record with a remarkable round of 62.

Unfortunately, a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) before his final amateur season hindered his transition to professional golf. Despite turning professional in 2010, he faced challenges in establishing himself on the professional circuit.

Transitioning to a career as a caddie, Kevin collaborated with prominent golfers, including Lexi Thompson, Amy Yang, and fellow Scot Martin Laird. His partnership with Thompson was notably successful, contributing to her victory at the 2017 Indy Women in Tech Championship.

In his personal life, Kevin married LPGA star Anna Nordqvist in 2021, whom he met while caddying for Thompson in 2017.

Tragically, Kevin McAlpine passed away suddenly in October 2023 at the age of 39. His unexpected death was a profound loss to the golfing community, where he was remembered for his dedication, expertise, and the significant impact he had on the sport both as a player and a caddie.

Ian Hutcheon
Ian Colin Hutcheon was one of the leading British amateurs of the 1970s. As an individual, he won the Scottish Amateur in 1973 and was Scottish Amateur Stroke Play Champion three times. He represented Great Britain and Ireland in four Walker Cup matches and three times in the Eisenhower Trophy.

Hutcheon is most remembered for his part in winning the 1976 Eisenhower Trophy at Penina Golf Club in Portugal, where he was also the joint lowest scorer over the four roundsi. Great Britain and Ireland led by two strokes after three rounds over Australia, Japan and the United States. On the final day Hutcheon scored 71 while the other three members of the team scored 76, 77 and 78. The team score of 224, the best three scores, was the lowest of the day, matched by Japan, and gave the team a two shot win. Hutcheon's 71 was the lowest of the day and his back-9 of 34 was the lowest of the week.

Hutcheon has been a member of Monifieth Golf Club for over 60 years. He was a scratch golfer into his 80s.
